I just finished watching an animated motion picture.... a very cute movie.. 'Monsters Inc' with an enchanting character named Boo. Hmm ok I better stop talking about the movie otherwise someone who hasn't seen the movie and is reading this will think "this guy has lost his mind....thinks monsters are cute and 'boo' is enchanting" :D

Anyway... I went shopping several times in the past few days, bought some stuff here and there and watched a couple of movies including two Bond movies (the name is Bond.....Ionic Bond.... and that joke was dedicated to my CHM 101). I watched 'Final Fantasy' another animated film... graphics were pretty real... and well suited to the sci-fi plot too.

Just another month for college to start... vacations have really flown by this time. Tomorrow I'll get to go to the beach followed by McDonalds for probably the last get together with friends..since people have started leaving. Ok I'm off to sleep now.

Last night I again ended up eating out with parents and a school senior.. again had a sizzler with chopsuey.

I woke up today at 8 am went to the embassy for the second time for the visa, waited there for an hour after which I had my interview which was very short (5 min) and the questions asked were very trivial and not worth mentioning ....anyway they said I could pickup my passport and other documents tommorow... then they phoned in the evening saying that it would be ready only by day after.

Then I spent the afternoon doing my internship work again... I was unable to do any work yesterday since the FTP server was acting cranky. Then in the evening I ended up going out to stitch a suit...took a takeaway on the way back for dinner. Im presently trying to extract a small part of a 200 MB video clip but this P3 is very slow compared to my AMD in Kanpur. I clicked file, open video, double clicked the video file and then started writing this blog entry... and it still hasnt opened. Sigh. Anyway I'm feeling hungry so Im off to find something to eat while the video loads.

After a pretty long gap, yesterday there was another party... lunch at Golden Spoon (where I had my usual sizzler along with half plate of triple schezwan) followed by desert at tropicals (where I tried out the avocado shake). Tonight again its back to Mc Donalds. I've regained half the weight that I lost at IITK. Hope to regain my former glory before I leave :D

I was facing a very unique problem in getting my US visa.....by the time I wake up (10:15 am) the consular section of the embassy would close.... anyway I slept at 9:30 pm yesterday, woke up at 630 am, went to the embassy only to be told that I need some letter saying that my mom worked here. So I have to again wake up early day after (since tommorow is a holiday in the US... funny thing... in Muscat the weekend is Thursday-Friday but on those days the embassy remains open)

I submitted all my documents to the Lucent people so hopefully thats the end of the paperwork (and I've learnt my lesson : DHL is very expensive). Anyway each of those attending the summit has to take some gift with them. I have no clues as to what to take so if anyone has any ideas pleease tell me.

I spent the past few days mostly at home... going out in between to get some documents for the visa application. Watched a few movies also in between.

Hmm another two days for the JEE results to come. Letsee what happens... heard the this yr mains was easy which I guess means results will be unpredictable.

I went to another party yesterday... this time at Mc Donalds... party was pretty short since for starters everyone turned up at the same time (big coincidence) and also since you get the food immediately at McD while at other restaurants one has to wait for about 20 minutes for everyone's food to come.

Then, I watched a movie 'School of Rock' today. Its a nice movie for timepass.

I had a lot of fun yesterday evening at the ice skating rink... lost my balance twice and fell forward on the ice but both were light falls and so I'm in one piece .... but luckily, I didn't get any sprains or anything. I guess ice skating is pretty nice to do in summer :D

I've started filling the visa form.. grumble grumble.. all kinds of questions like "have you had any training in chemical/biological warfare?".

Apart from that, I'm spending a lot of time chatting/emailing. Sleeping routine has gotten totally messed up..now its 1am to 9 am...must shift back soon to the 11 to 6 cycle.

Finally decided the route I should take in July (British Airways, Mct-Abu Dhabi-London-Newark-London-Delhi). Hopefully, the iie.org people will agree on this. Via London would mean travelling with the Lucent scholars from UK.... last year I think one of the two representing UK was an Indian... letsee what happens this time.

Day before yesterday there was a party .... this time it was lunch and not dinner... had a nice Indian buffet at Spicy Village followed by a movie. We had to choose between Kingdom of Heaven and 'Bunti and Babli'. We choose the latter. It wasn't a very good movie and on top of that the other guys cracked the dumbest of dumb jokes during the movie.

Yesterday yet another party at my house for Mom's colleagues...there was noone of my age plus or minus 5 years. I put a cartoon (Lion King 3) for the kids to watch and in the end I also ended up watching it.

Today, again there is a party at the Ice Skating Rink (one of the best places in Muscat to hang out in summer) in the evening. Now I am about to go to the Embassy to get my visa.
